Both species are highly territorial and I can see all hell breaking loose comes spawning time unless that 2footer is really heavily planted, with plenty of hiding space.
Then again, never try never know![]()

Just a dumb question, is it alright to have a pair of rams and a pair of apisto in a 2ft tank? I haven't try this myself.....cheers!

Even if you plant it heavily chances are that they'll still find each other esp during spawning.
A good breeding + growing up fry tank will be a 2ft itself with only 1 pair of apisto.
Mixing them is not a problem the problem arises only when the female decide to turn yellow.

they sure to fight, i face that before![]()

I definitely won't recommend that. Unless you want to see fish wrestling when the female is ready to spawn.

hmm.... then i shall not try that....does fights still occur with less aggressive apistos too? maybe lets take hongsloi, breitbinden or caca for example? sorry for the silly thoughts.....
currently I have 1 pair of apisto for a 2footer.....what other fishes/"creatures" could i add with the apistos, but wont affect spawning and such?
