    From what I understand, it is not so effective and the replacement of the plate is quite costly.

    Nisso, the Japanese brand use to have it too. Not popular over here due to questionable efficiency.

    Cheers,
    I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

    3 years back I used one from Germany - Very effective, immediate bubble from all the plants!!! But very difficult to control the C02 amount. The carbon plate can use abt 1 yr. cost abt $40/unit. but the joint from the cable to the metal plate easily give way.... overall, bad deal.

    Personally i've tried it before, really not so effective. Can't control the co2 effectively and accurately also. When i used it, i didn't managed to see any bubbling from my plants, instead just dunno why, it started to cloud my water. After i took it out from my tank, the cloudiness just dissapear.
    Changed to using a regular co2 tank, everything works so ideally. Plants are pearling now.
    My opinion for electro-plate co2 ->

    Oh by the way,
    if you plan to go to Malaysia or any of your friends going, you can ask them to get it for you there.
    I've bought my for less than $25. Even the auntie in the shop is aware that SG LFS are selling higher price
    just 2 cent worth suggestion
