Apistogramma agassizii

Hi all,

Joined AQ quite sometime ago but didn't post, just reading up the pages, came across this interesting fish and decided to buy a pair, so went to Biotope, spoke to Mr Thio and bought myself this pair, if not wrong, think the name is "Apistogramma agassizii". Correct me if I am wrong, pls

Had the pair for about 2 weeks in a newly planted tank and yesterday, discovered something unusual, female chasing away all other fishes, so decided to investigate and found some tiny movement around the female...

Took some pics earlier, enjoy them...

Congrats to you. You have to start feeding them bbs soon. This is the last pair you got from Thio?

Try feeding BBS changing water every few days 10%.....put more hiding space and stop staring at them....

Give them some time off...they'll spawn for you

Nope. not the last pair that I bought from Thio, there is another pair with eggs attached to DW on the left, I bought the pair on the right, just wondering, should I remove the fries or leave it with the mom???

No experience in this b4

Congrats on your spawn bro.....seems like a number of bro's apistos are spawning.....take good care of the fries and we'll soon have an exchange session of apisto fries!!!

just leave it with the mum for about a month or two. might want to consider removing the male after awhile pending whether the female is agressive towards it.
