ID: Ranma's blue-striped tetra

Ranma, looks like a Hyphessobrycon, your fishes has coloured up and the three blue-lined ones looks like one female, 2 males (assuming thick body means female). Here you can see a pair.

The other fish (3pcs) with a round caudal spot is in very bad condition, all their caudals are misshapened due to past injuried and looks horrible in close-up.

well i presume thats what happens when you stuff them in a desert tub for 5hrs or more.. they seem to like to have a go at each other..haha..

These are actually from different tanks.. the large one was from the low tech.. the other 2 smaller ones are from the small plant storage tank upstairs. Maybe could be geographic disparity..hahahaha..

Anyway.. i think the stripes can change to yellowish yah?

stripe can change colour meh? I think is more likely lighting and ray incidence, you know all these characins the scale change colour depending on light penetration.

seems like leh... not sure.. i see 2 forms sometimes under the same lighting in the same tank..

Anyway.. i think they are nice..

My favs are still those that have the red dots on the caudal.. swee man those.. cant wait for them to colour up and you take swee swee pictures of them
