I found these with cotton-like stuff on my bogwood growing recently. I'm experimenting the growing of moss in my tank and have no Co2 usage. Lights are 36x2 in a 24x18x18 inches tank. Wonder what this cotton-like stuff is and how to get rid of them.
These are some sort of fungus. I re-scaped my tank recently and put in a new piece of wood. The tip of the wood have these cotton-like stuffs also.
I think they are harmless.....someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Just use your fingers to scrap it off and suck them with a hose when you do a water change the next time.

Suppose that's a new piece of bogwood u bought.
experienced before, maybe try run it under boiling water which i was adviced by the LFS owner.
yeah, gotta run it through with boiling water a few times, then soak it in a pail of hot water
Yup, new bogwood and soaked them in boiling water and kept them in a pail of hot water already. Maybe just not enough yet. Will just have to repeat the cycle again.
Don't worry about it. it comes about with a new setup. Just clear as much as you can, but it will eventually go away.
