what do you mean metal net? the material is metal? or wat?
any1 know where got sell bigger pieces coz i wanna make a background...
or should i use several small pieces instead of a big piece??
if you are talking about wire mesh, u can buy from those supermarkets..its the same as those u use for bbq i think...but...if u want to be sure they dont rust, get from LFS like NA or CA or any other reputable LFS. anyway u can join a few smaller pieces....or put the smaller pieces of mesh side by side to create a wallOriginally Posted by planted86
hmm... icic... so which do u recommend?? a big piece or a few small pieces??
C328 also sell them... It is found in a packet above the $1 plants... The usual small size there...
Why not just head to the hardware shops? I got mine from there, they sell netting of metal or cloth relatively cheaper than the LFS or NTUC. But be sure you rinse the metal wire first, you never know what chemicals are there on the net since they are from the hardware shop.
ohh.... so u just go there and tell them stainless steel wiremesh??
if ya staying somewhere in the north, maybe you can drop by Chong Pang (Yishun), there's a hardware shop that sells stainless steel mesh. It's Blk 100+, opposite a KFC, near the ADSD (it's a airforce camp). Because what i know of is that, most shop doesn't sells the stainless steel types. Had a really hard time finding them

my opnion, definitely a big piece, it's so much more easier to tye whatever you want onto it. Rather than getting those small ones, then later on you still need to tie the indiviual small ones up. furthermore base on calculation, getting those big piece are more cost economical.![]()

Another place to check out is stretches along Balestier Road, they have a hell lot of varieties there!
by the way, don't think this thread belongs here. Maybe got to ask the mods to move it to the appropriate section![]()
hi guys,
thanks for all the comments...but are those from hardware of the same properties as those in Bioplast...meaning, will it affect the hardness/ph of the water...will it seep out any chemicals...
thanks
yours sincerely,
Storm
Hi Stormydax, those from Boiplast are not from Germany. They are probably the same as most of the LFS is carrying. If you are worried about the quality of the product, like the rest say buy from C328 or NA. If that can't convince you, you can buy plastic mesh also, they do the job beautifully too. Most metal products comes with a oil based protective film so highly advisable to wash before use. I hope this solves your worries, have fun![]()
Something about the water & the fishes that calms me down.
