sounds good, are you looking for people to pool in buying some fish? I am keen for it.
here is a link that I just stumbled upon to a venuzeulan LFS to satisfy all your altum angel/wild caught discus/other rio negro fantasies.
they seem to post overseas and will take care of certificates. i wonder how much they charge for a true altum... yummmyyyyyyyyyy......

heheheheh. i am in london buddy unfortunately. someday in the future.. i think i will make a visit there myself and buy handpicked altums. nothing beats having a completely natural tank...
but i shld imagine that any aquarist worth his salt wld be interested in pooling together with you if they are really keen..price-wise i dont think its more ex than buying frm LFSs that make such imports themselves since such LFSs anyhow don't buy in bulk for these 'rare' imports and a similar 'economies of scale' can be achieved if you pool together.
good luck. do let me know how it goes![]()
It works both ways here in Singapore, you have to have an import license to ship them in. Anyway you still can do check with AVA as i know they do have a clearance permit for those hobbyist who wants to ship in their own fishes if i am not wrong.

hi. in the UK applying and obtaining such a personal import licence is free of charge. not sure about singapore.
i guess the downside to such personal imports is possible death on arrival.
