I have about 10 of them in my 4ft (very hard to count
cause they hide a lot). I have the red coloured ones,
i think its called scarlet badis, from India.

Bought about 20+ in total so far. Cheapest
was from QianHu fish farm. Only 90 cents
for one. Most ex I ever saw is $2.50 in Gen-X.

They always stay at the bottom. Even where there is
food on the surface. I bought some sinking food
but they will only eat things that are on the gravel.
They won't even pick the food while it's sinking even
if it's right in front of them.

I read in 1 website saying that they prfer live food.
So far I've not tried any.

The amazing thing is how can my fishes survive even when
they have so little to eat.

Do they prefer hard or soft water?
