And I have shifted the wood more to the right already... Will take a pic of the tank after I finish planting the foreground and tying moss and java ferns on the wood...
sure. just pm me on your fish and plants so that we can make arrangements for the fresh deliveries.

Saw a very beautiful Apistogramma sp. 'Mamore' at Biotope... Either that or a A. macmasteri... Hehheh... Am I too ambitious?

An update on the state of my tank now...
Waiting for the background plants to grow in... Chopped them pretty short at the roots, so blocked by the big wood...

Not fully planted yet as I have hoped... Will continue to update after more planting...

Any suggestions to the dither fishes for a pair of A. agassizii "Alequer" who will be the owner of this new home...

    Your mollies should do fine...

Or you want to rummynose or White Clouds? Or some small-medium schooling tetras?

Hahah... Yah... The result of being lazy and using only one piece of flash at the top... Should have used another one... Hahaha....

Justikanz, I'm looking at probably some small-medium schooling fishes... Rummy noses get abit too big after some time... Thinking about the colour combination... And also the space available for them to swim...

Lazy but the effect is good leh.

Ember tetras would be good!... They will somewhat school and won't steal the colours and attention of your apistos too... Or the rasboras that Squeel used to have and Biotope still carry would also be a good source as they swim on the top more often...

Apparently, my fan was quite powerful enough to create the effect... But not like Amano's kind...

Might consider ember tetras... Can port them over from my old tank, which seemed not to compliment the new scape...

    Hi Vincent,

Have you decided what apisto you going to keep

A nice top schooling is the rocket pencil (sorry I don't know the exact name)

I have finish setting up my 1.5ft tank.

Still wondering what apisto to get. (can't get a replacement for the deceased male Vijeta from Wehemli)

    Wackytpt,

yup... I have decided and also made my order with Biotope already.. It will be a pair of A. agassizii "Alequer"... Rocket pencil? Issit the one with the black colour caudal fin ( in the lower part)? Nannostomus eques? If that is the one, it is one of my options...

Go down to the different shops to see what's available now... Maybe can help you decide better... I also had no idea which one I wanted till I popped down Biotope...

Hope to see your new pair soon!

Been a long time since I updated on my tank.
Did a entire rescape of the old tank on Hari Raya (shoulder ache) as it was hit very badly by BBA while I was away for 3 weeks. The wood still got some BBA, which I intend to use peroxide bombing over the weekend before the water change.

Plants are still mostly in emersed form as can see from the Ludwigia brevipes on the right and L. arcuata on the left. Don't ask me how I know which is which from the emersed leaves. I depended Biotope.

Foreground is currently empty as waiting for my japanese hairgrass and two more Eriocaulon sp. if I can get my hands on them.

Will also tie nanas and nana petite around the wood to give it a more natural look.

Any addition suggestions are most welcomed.

One trio of Apistogramma agassizii 'Tigre' and one pair of Rams.
About 15 pieces of Hyphessobrycon herbertaxelrodi aka Black neons. One nearly 6cm Royal fallowella (Sturisoma aureum most likely). 3 fat otos and 2 juvenile SAEs.

    Sounds abit packed...

    Nope... Sadly...
Female very yellow. Strip turns to dot recently. Male also has his stripe turned into a dot. But still the male runs away when the female engages him... Don't know what they are doing...

Bought a new set of T5 lightset after much consideration. It is a SoLite Type 4 (meaning 4 tubes!) HO T5.

The design looks real chic and classy... Love the black casing and the ventilation holes. Here's two pictures of the whole lightset.

It came with 2 tubes of 10000K lights and 2 Artinic, which I changed to the AquaMedic Planta tubes (since ATI still don't have the SuperWhite in 2ft). Also, the light set came with flippable legs!

Overall, I loved the look of the lightset. Will take a picture of the tank with the new lightset after installation tomorrow.
