Changes since the previous update: most of the moss along the foreground have been removed and a new lawn of Echinodorus tenellus planted in their place. Small Anubias plants have been placed beneath the large mound of Java fern. The moss was growing nicely but were too amorphous and formless from an aesthetic point of view. A number of crypts which had grown too tall and were pushing their way to the front of the tank were uprooted and replanted a little further back. The driftwood has also been re-arranged slightly and bags of Java fern taken out for making salad.

As usual, I like such natural looks in your setup. And I am sure Mr Amano will love it.

Please send me a nice picture of the setup to enter in the ADA 2006 contest.

Wild and very natural looking. Trust me, if you take a closer shot without the tank visible, you can easily fool me, telling me the pic is taken from the wild. Great job!

budak, what light are you using? the colour looks so natural...

my light kind of gives the plants in my tank a very unnatural and weird colour...

hehe.. thank you all... no close-ups as it would otherwise look crappy! I use a single 150W bulb (7500K) bought from the uncle at System Control & Engineering.

It's the white substrate... really nice to look at. bloody impossible to keep white(for me anyway). But does it ever occur in nature? white silica in riverbeds?
