    Hi all

I was given this fish by our LFS, he said he got a shipment of wild apisto's. As they were only young when he got them he didn't know what type they were but this was the last of them.

Could anyone recognise which type this is?

    cheers mick

    Hi mick,

Hmm... most would consider it as Apistogramma agassizii. But it may also be Apistogramma gephyra too as they look almost similar.

However, judging from the body shape, the lack of black and white markings and fine reticulated designs in the tail and the presence of yellow stripe in the lower caudal fins, I would put my money on Apistogramma agassizii.

    Any collection details?

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
