Feeding Apisto Fries

Recently I bought a batch of apisto caca fries about a month old. Currently I have a problem feeding them, They just dont eat the flakes i feed them or what i seem they dont eat. What do you all feed your fries with? do they eat flaskes cause its been 4 days. Instead, the flakes are eaten by my malayan shrimps.

You have to feed them with baby brine shrimps (sea monkeys). Either you hatch them yourself or you can get the live ones from c328.

Good link, yes for fries it's best to feed them BBS. I've known of other methods but BBS is the quickest and the most nutrition among the rest of the other food!

If you can get cyclops live ones , will be good too.

can you get hold of grindal worms thats another good food.

Try buying those daphnia from LFS. Petmart have frozen ones. Can give it a try. Or u can also try cyclopeeze.

thanks for the replies. I also would like to know whether the current flakes will satisfy the caca. Cause its been 5 days and none of them is dead

I'm not sure if you can train them to take flakes. My caca fries don't even take the micro pellets. They spit out the moment they take a bite. Even my adult caca don't like flakes or pellets. I only feed the adults frozen bloodworms now.

For the nutritious fact that freshly hatched bbs offer. I'll suggest feeding them bbs till they are bigger!

It's best to give them what they need,not dead doesn't mean they're happy...and vise versa...we can also live on a few type of food too...

you can get frozen bbs from Chai Discus.
when i was breeding apistos a couple of years back, the frozen bbs worked like a charm

Actually we can even freeze our own BBS...just hatch more and freeze the rest, i think some of the members here are actually doing that too.
