    Hi bros,

Newbie here. Any comments welcome on improving my set up.

The front 2 plants seems to be turning brown.. does it lack light?

look at it, there's lots of space to fill in. your tank seems cloudy, has it been cycled?!?!
also maybe you can share with us your tank parameter. plan what you want to have in your tank, maybe a theme, then be easier to start. get more plants!!

what foreground plant you have there? probably its better to break them up into smaller clumps and replanting them.

    my humble 2 cents...

Let us know what lights you using, what substrate you using, how long it has been setup, got CO2 or not, got fertilisation regime or not... We need these information to truely help... Else it is just a stab in the air, and it might not be the real problem...

my personal opinion, you might want to consider tying some moss onto the wood? It seems kind of bare and does really contrast in your tank. Moss on it would be real nice.
    just my 2cent suggestion

I think it's a little bare maybe you can add some crypts to fill in the blank and the crypt will fill the void between the hygrophilia and defformis. Tying on some moss on the bogwood is also a good idea. Placement of the wood, I think you got it. Shift the Tonina behind unless you want to trim it every fortnightly. wrapping some nana around the trunk of the BW is also not bad, basically cool. My 2 cents.
Yes, indica loves alot of light if it turns brown usually the light is insufficient. Try 8-10 hours daily. HC sometimes makes me wanna pull my hair out, try some tellenus and japanese hairgrass for foreground or even Glosso.
Something about the water & the fishes that calms me down.

I'll assume ur main focus is the driftwood? If so, the two piece of rocks is kana distracting for me. Maybe try playing ard with them more and also plant more plants near to them?

    Just my 2 cts.

Take out the pennywort on the left, they are hard for beginners, grow a couple of becopa, to give some purple contrast. Second, take out the rock on the left. More nana petite at the bottom left, maybe 3 more pots. Get rid of your glosso, I think I see algae growing on them. The plant behind the right rock (sorry, I forgot the name) grows very fast, so you might want to move them alittle bit back to hide your piping. Finally more sunflower plants, one stalk is not enough (but be warn, they need cold temp).

Which plant did you plant with the "sponge"? I think if you want the plant to spread you need plant it in, without the "sponge".

Personally I feel that its much more than sufficient as it gives way more than 3wpg for your 2ft tank.
