Does anyone know how to feed wood shrimps? I heard they feed on small organisms in the water. Would daphnia be good? What about bacteria? This may sound extreme, but I am thinking of providing them with nutrafin cycle for the bacteria.

I have 6 woodshrimps, bought from a forumer. As advised, I am feeding them Interpet Liquifry 2, 2 to 3 drops a day. Cheers.

My approach is when I am feeding the Cardinal Tetra in my tank; I mix the tetra food in some water and pour it into the tank in such a manner that it gets caught in the water flow.

I see the food particles lodge in the fans of the 5 woodshrimp, then in their good time they transfer it to their mouths. I assume they are happy as some carry eggs.

Mine have been around one year now and I expect they could live for quite a few years.

I fed them frozen daphnia and they last me many many months. I also find that they tend to die while moulding, sometime getting stuck in the old shell.

then it'd be because you kH is too high... apparently too much calcium in the water makes it harder for them to shed.

... or could there be some fishes that could attack it while it was moulting? Shrimps are particularly vulnerable during moulting.

My KH is only 2 or less. Not even the recommended for planted tank which is about 4KH.

Definitely not attacked by fishes as the whole shrimp is intact.
