Hey, found some new shrimps at ProPet in Tampines.

These are blue to brown, and has a bright orange gut showing through so that it looks like it has an orange/red spot on the thorax. They're in the same tank as the bumblebee (bees only a few and not strongly coloured). Size about the same as Malayan. Selling for $1.30. I notice while trying to catch them they are exceedingly good jumpers.

    MECH! You hear?

FLORENCE, capital of the region of Tuscany, has a population of around half a million inhabitants, spreads on the banks of the Arno, between the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian seas, almost in the middle of the Italian peninsula. It is a city which bustles with industry and craft, commerce and culture, art and science.

Choy the shrimp you mention is it Malayan or not? maybe they feed them with food that make their gut look orange

pui! pui! pui! most of them don't have the central white line and the triangle markings on the tail that Malayans have. Also the colour is permanent (unlike Malayan which loses the colour).

I mean that when they're stressed they lose colour. I also had Malayan that were coloured maroon, blue, black, brown and turquoise. But I transfered them to a holding tank when redoing the tank, and they lost all their colours over night, and never regain them. []

Hmm, my 6ft so far(choichoi) don't have BBA but my malayan shrimps are in the rainbow colours. Got one in a holding tank which i feed exceessive BW and it decided to be Super Red.

I guess they take the colouration of what they have eaten. I've tried feeding them slices of carrots too and yes they turn Orange. []

So what coloured shrimps do you wan? [] [:] [:]
    Cheers!

Carrots contain beta-carotene(orange color vitamin) which will result in orangy shrimp.[]

Understand that friends come and go,
but with a precious few you can hold on.

Since i bought my Malayan from Shop, the colour doesn't seem to come back anymore. All of them are normal white shrimp now and for about a year already they're still the same.
Ben, so you mean carrot really help to bring their colour back again???

Wow realised that they can grow real big... I've a few which is slighly over 3cm already.....
