i saw some cryfishes for sale in LFS...
was just wondering if i am able to put them together with cherry shrimps?
or maybe with guppies & their fries..
will the crayfish eat my cherries or even my guppies?

another thing i want to ask is, how do i sex the crayfish?

sex the crayfish, ! just kidding

happen to come across a lfs mixing their crayfish with yamatoes. read about their behaviour that they tend to be more active at night, leaving your fishes unrest probably.
are you intend to rear it in planted tanks?

Don't think its a good idea to have them together!
When I just got my first crayfish, my father suggest feeding it feeder shrimps (Ghosts shrimps), its good at it! You will be surprised!

yea, sex them.. meaning finding out which is male or female?
because i would like to keep a pair, hopefully breed them?

read from somwehere that they can't keep their claws to themselves...
they do dig out plants don't they?
so i assume i won't be keeping them in a planted tank...

Try the following site for methods on sexing a crayfish.

    http://www.crayfishworld.com/idguide.htm

Ghost shrimp are kind of dumb and they scavenge out in the open, hence a crayfish can easily make a meal out of them.

I've had some luck with Malayans and a 15-cm crayfish for a few months now. Malayans prefer to hide and seem to be able to evade the crayfish quite easily.

Feeder guppies = sushi for crayfish initially....but the surviving fish get smart and after a while, they become brave enough to pick debris from the mouth of a messy-eating crayfish!

    Cheers

personally wouldn't suggesting mixing your shrimps with the crayfish. Don't think they can co-habit together. Well, even if they would, i guess your shrimps would pretty much be in hiding most of the times.
