I caught 3 Mosquito fish (Gambusia holbrookil) from the drain, and put them in this 2 liter tank a month ago.
Yesterday while doing water change I noticed there is one tiny new born Mosquito fish in there. The 3 "adults" Gambusia only measured may be 8-10 mm which I thought they were only juvenile and quite a surprise that they can multiply out of this tiny volume of water.
how about some photos to show off those fish?![]()
Hi. We can use Seachem Excel to replace CO2? Never knew that. But will daily dosage be harmful to shrimps inside the tank?Originally Posted by dc88
Should be a weekly dosing and given the size of your tank. A few drops should be enough.
I tested the upper limit for this 2L tank size and 3 drops a day is where it's still safe. 4 drops a day will start knocking out some cherry.
The daily regime is 1-2-3 :
1 drop JBL trace,
2 drops KNO3+KH2PO4 pre-mix (4 tsp KNO3 + 1 tsp KH2PO4 in 500ml water),
and 3 drops Excel.
Follow by weekly 50% waterchange.
very nice...![]()
