    Is there a diff between apistos and darwf cichlids? I just got some darwf cichlids that look really like apistos, but they are only $2/piece

    apistogramma belongs to the Dwarf Cichlid family.... found in South American, there r other Dwarf cichlids from African, Malawi, American..etc

    There are lots of commonly available dwarf cichlids. most are from america.
    Checkerboard, Apisto, Kribs, Shell Dwellers, Thomasi Cichlid etc..

    Currently keeping many wild betta species and other anabantoids.
