the cost depends on what you are looking for.
aluminium alloy cylinder cost more than steel cylinders.
german-made regulators and solenoids cost more that taiwan-made ones.
a lower cost system with steel cylinder and taiwan-made regulator and solenoid may cost around $150 while a german-made system may set you back >$350++

do check around lfs in serangoon north, nature aquarium, system & control engineering, ...

do note that you'll need proper regulator (usually with dual gauges) and needle valve if you want to have precise and consistent co2 flowrate.

    Would recommend NA.
Bought 3 sets from them already and no complains!

    Plus points:
< Life-time warranty for the cylinder; the Italy cylinders, not the Taiwan
    ones!

< instant refill; 1-to-1 exchange, do not have to go back another day to
    collect!

Investing on a CO2 is a longterm matter. Unlike buying a powerhead, where you don't need much service/support thereafter. If you have the budget, go for the higher quality brand. Also consider the LFS reputation and support.
