    This looks like Hair Algae.

You can try manual removal, which will be temporary then you have to look at your dosing regime, CO2 levels and lighting. For a more comprehensive answer from the forum you will need to provide your tank/aquascape specifications as this greatly assists in knowing your particular circumstances.

Yamato’s will not eat it, nor will any critter that I know off.

To me, this is the worst algae if you have moss in your tank... If you do not remove it, or have it under control, you will be throwing away your moss very soon.

I manually remove it.... but in the end always give up and change my moss...

It has been discussed in earlier threads.

Err? Thought yamato shrimps should be able to clear them? Then what do they clear?

Mine was cleared by starved yamato from my moss... Although some still lingering about....

My malayans also clears them well. Always throw in a bit of hair algae that I can find into my shrimp tank (malayans & cherries) and always gone in no-time. I think good for their diet.

Maybe my critters [Yamato/cherry Shrimp] had other choices as they rarely if ever touched hair algae.

I have seen this algae before but it was labelled staghorn algae. Anyone can confirm?

It's not algae, it's an aquatic weed. Search "bladderwort".

Hmm.. don't look like bladderwort to me. Looks more like a kind of staghorn. Bladderwort has 'bladders', and the 'leaves' are longer. See attached photo.
