i wonder if someone has tried this for apistos?
after reading your post i notice the slight bloating and lethargic behaviour with one of my pairs.
celtic, think tetra bits has garlic additive in it already IIRC... I know TetraMin definitely has garlic extract... You can smell it...

the garlic stuff i read about is manufactured by seachem.
you just drip the liquid onto the bits and serve or wait to dry and serve.

Think is possible to drip the garlic extract onto freezed stuff after they are thawed? Or the garlic has to be absorbed into the food?

    valice,
    yup. you can do that.
i think it laso helps to soften the food so it sinks easily.
i have tried that on my discus once in a while (too lazy to do it often).
i should try that for my apisto too.
they seem to be having digestive issues...

Garlic is very useful as a preventive measure against internal parasites but the problem is the correct dosage to ensure effectiveness.

I'm not sure if the garlic extract will be absorbed by the thawed frozen food but in the case of dry food it definitely will be absorbed.

In the case of discus, they also use a antibiotic such as metrodinazole for internal problems. Strong medication not really recommended.
