1cm is too low... I suggest that you add in more gravel in.

Excel is a CO2 supplement. Anyways this is off topic already. Think there is a thread elsewhere on Seachem Excel and its effect on BBA.

So |Eddy|, how's the planting going?

You have quite an exotic collection of plants in that tank. However, it is really too sparsely planted for the amount of light you have. Plant as least 4 times more.
If you are not going to plant anymore, at least get a lot more floating plants...

    thanks for the support guys.

kemp, i'm lousy at choice of plants. somehow all the plants wasn't well scape imo. look at my foreground....got 6 types.

frankly the only thing i like in there are those on the DW and rocks now. the rest! simply there to prevent alage. newbies all like that huh.

It doesn't matter if you are a newbie or veteran, but you had fun right? That's all that matters.. When I Started also like that my first tank was like the united nations more like the LFS's tank that is used to contain plants.
