Exactly Hakuna Matata was chosen to mean that, except I did not observe it in all it aspects. Thanks to Ranma, I will as from today. This is because I saw a small mark on the tank glass panel, which turn out to be a scratch..

Yeps, miscalculated on the rocks size, but does not matter, when i will shift room, i will still use the rocks, but put them where i plant APP.

This tank is 3 weeks old. Started it on the 6th, now it's 26th. Using Resun Chiller, temperature set at 26, so range is 26-28. This is because I notice that shrimps (old batch of malayan, cherry and yamato) do not do well in temperture below 25., and they do not behave normally at temperature below 26.

After creating this tank, I happened to watch a movie, which is lion king 2.5 (or some put it as lion king 3)...so Hakuna Matata...3 weeks gone, I only did 3 WC...GIven the plants I have inside, I do not need to trimm, unlike my earlier 2 feet setup which i had...So far, no trace of algae on the plants... Some algae on the glass panel and one piece of rock when I forget to off the lights sometimes...I think my 3 ottos and 100+ shrimps are doing fine job..I have to feed them algae wafers everyday. and they are reproducing a lot...see a lot of shrimplets which already grew to 0.5cm, all wandering under the APP leaves.

    Taken 2 days ago

I am still experiencing these days with various kinds of plants, then one day will do a better scape when i can calculate the growth of plants better. I guess this is what we all are trying to learn when we setup various tanks...

    chris.. nice going there..

I like the scape more actually when more rock was visible.. the plant growth is good.. the rock scape by itself is good.. but put together... the plant growth seems to hide the full potential of the rocks..

but overall its a good effort...can see where you're going with this..

Ya me too I prefer it when the rocks were visible... I miscalculated the growth of E.Tenellus.

Maybe next time I use the same rocks and similar scape, but with Japan Hairgrass, Normal Hairgrass in the background, but still keeping relatively taller plants such as the Blyx Japonica on the left hand size.(however I still need to observe how big/tall they can grow first) and APP and glosso mixed in front. I think it will be more interesting. Then I think the rocks will show more... What do you guys think?

my pH is wround 6.4-6.8, kH around 1-2

    Using EI method

try in a small tank first.... Plant your APP (you can get some from me if you wish, drop by to collect), blast Co2, put a lot of NO3, and that's it... Have some floating plants (that you get from shrimp plastic bags when you buy them) to absorb a bit the excess nutrients ... This is what I do to prevent algae, and have APP like that...

THe funny thing abt it is that... after receiving lights, NO3 and Co2 during daytime (lights period), they bubble of course, but it is the next day that i notice how much they grow....((you guys understand what I mean here))
