I think your apisto is having the same problem with my previous one.....it has has a swollen, bruised lip.... better to isolate it and treat it for bacteria infection.....sera bactopur or the jap's yellow powder might help....

    Dear Yaya,
The lip is a external injury, the Ocean free is an internal one. Get something else like Melafix. Usually dedicated medicine are much faster than those 'cure for all' medication. I think you got to be quick if you want to save the fella
Something about the water & the fishes that calms me down.

Sorry about that. My fishes are back to normal now as i change the position of my filter hose which is outcoming from the filter, such that the water come out from the hose will hit the surface of the water and create aeration for the fishes. I realised it may be due to the lack of oxygen for my fishes. But my apisto is still behaving weird. i noticed that its lip isn't really swollen, just that it's mouth is opened all the times (unusual behaviour) and it keeps on hiding. I doubt i can help it and i hope it will recover as soon as possible by itself.
