its flowrate is 100L less than eden's.....I guess the manufactures are making smaller filters to suit the needs of smaller tanks...similar design too

Good day to allOn the April issue of TFH, i chanced upon a 2 page advertorial on Resun products and the immediate product that caught my eye was this Eden 501 lookalike.

Being the curious me, i did a search on the Resun website and this is what it turns up: Resun CY-20
Just wondering when (if ever) this product will reach our shores. But honestly speaking, i'll still prefer buying the Eden 501 (it's already so afforcable) should i have the need for a small canister filter.

There are lots of lookalikes around. Seen (to my untrained eyes) yet another brand similarly designed filter albeit smaller version at Biotope yesterday.

A friend from Hong Kong who visited recently told me that there are many look alikes available in China nowadays. I saw the one at Biotope too. It's a made in Taiwan one, think the flow rate is 240 or 250l/h.

Once all start flooding the market, the price will drop..![]()
It appear that there are so many look alikes in this hobby. 1 question is whether there are any further improvement made to the actual item itself?
