my yamato have been with for past 2 years..... one a while to do see them climb out of my fish tank????? there's once climb out and venture 8 meters away from tank- when i return home from work--- saw this yamato lying by side when i touch it it moves- quickly i put it back to tank and it sank all the way to bottom- after a while it start to swim and disappear to the moss.
STRANGE right?![]()

Nope, not jumping. I've seen them 'do the walking' but they went back into the water after that. Could be the heat from the T5 light I have.
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.
Don't walk behind me as I might not lead, don't walk in front of me as I might not follow. Walk beside me, as my friend.

In your case, I'd say they jumped out. Why they do that, I don't know, maybe it was looking for other greener pasture?![]()

yamatoes will jump out of water if water conditions are bad. Did you check your ammonia and nitrate level?
got such kind of theory? they will move house when they are not suitable with their water conditions?

One of my yamato in my previous tank jumped out and I only found it afterwards, it a good 5m away actually actively creeping along the ground.
