    hi to all the quan bei here... i am new to planted.. going to start an apisto tank... can all the quan bei give me an idea what to start with .. what plant and apisto for a newbie to start.. hope to learn more from any of u..

    Do have a look at the sticky thread by squee on "how to get started in planted tanks" to get an idea on the general requirements. Then if you have further specific questions do post them here. But it will help if you have some idea of the type of setup, size, budget.... you want.

    And do try to avoid sms-style spellings like 'mi' for 'me'. It can be quite hard to understand for older folks and overseas readers.

    Welcome to AQ.

    Imho, it's better to focus on one new thing instead of going into two new interests at the same time. Which one would you prefer, apistos or planted tanks?

    There's a apisto sub-forum here in AQ that you can ask for help at.

    For planted tanks, this is the area. Like budak said, read the stickies on the Beginner's Corner, and you'll know what you need and roughly have an idea of what you want to aim for.

    Easy plants are Java Fern, Anubias barteri var Nana (common name: Nana) and common stemmed plants.

    hm.. =/ cos i saw pic in aq here.. apisto in planted show nice colouring will take ur advise.. start with plant 1st.. n read the important point give by u all.. xie xie
