    Hi Henry,

    Welcome to Aquatic Quotient!

Don't mind me saying, but it seems rather "messy" in the plant placement. Also, some parts of the foreground seems rather sparse.

    More plants perhaps?

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

    Thanks Benny,

I hardly know what the plants are let alone how to place them.

I thought the grass like plants would grow and fill the foreground.

    I'm open to any suggestions.

Seriously I'm much a newbie like you but seems to me there'e too many type of plants and no focal point. After surfing the forum a little, you will realised that people will setup their tank with a special plants to capture the attention of the viewer. The tank should be place using plants of different height to maximise visual effects. Pls take my comments with a pinch of salt. I'm very new as well.

move the tall plants to the back, also get a fan, ur basic PC fan size should be enough, do not buy a bigger fan unless it is faster, otherwise it is useless. See your crypts on you left foreground? space it evenly as a midground and get one more to give a fuller effect. I have to agree with rest that you foregrund could add more plants. 3 bunches of your e. tenellus should fill it up. make sure you have add some root monster and liquid fert too. Also some Seachem excel if you have no CO2.

Tank Update - 2 months on

    Hi guys,

I thought I post an image of my tank.

I've taken some of the advice given.

    Your thoughts would be appreciated.
