    Hi there,

Being a rather uncreative person that I am, I'm seeking all of your help here in giving me ideas and I'm thinking of seriously doing a rescape (major) and am looking how I can improve my current scape (if possible)

I am thinking of removing the Amazon on the right and all the windelov on the right driftwood. Likely I will also remove the Amazon in the middle and connect both the drifwoods together. I am thinking, what can I tie to the driftwood, more or a mixture of JF & Windelovs & nanas? For the JF hill (on the right) should I have a mixture of narrow JFs and normal JFs? Crypts will be planted to hid the legs of the driftwood. Should I remove the oversized Echi. Osiris (at the left of the tank) completely and have more vallis (or if I decide to change to balansaes) I am thinking if I should tie moss to the driftwoods (can it be mixed with JFs?)

Aim here is to create a slope scape and a natural one of course. Should I remove the vallisnerias and replace it with balansae?

Once this has been done, the right side of the tank will be bare.

Should I move all the tellenus there or plant some other foreground plant, e.g. mosses, HC, Glosso?

Or would a all rocks scape be better? (need to source for natural looking rocks). I have another conern, since in general discus are sensitive fishes, their state of health will be of importance to me too. I have posted a question over at AQ in Aquatalk, http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...ewpost&t=20689

i find that your overall setup looks kinda dark, maybe the selection of your plants are generally darker green and the black background. and mosses mostly dark green as well, hence overall look might not be ideal, may seems dark.
    HC/glosso or stargrss be better?!

just my 10cents worth suggestion, apologised for saying. hmm....certainly would like to hear some professional suggestion!

    Hi richie,

Thanks for your input. Yup I think that my tank looks rather 'green' haha. Infact its either green or yellow (withering leaves). I'm not really a fan of red plants and don't like dutch layouts for sure.

Since I have high lighting, I might as well make full use of it. (4.03WPG) I'm looking into glosso.

Still what do you guys think of the layout (the one I intend to change to) of connecting the driftwoods together and to create an ultra JF/Narrow JF/Windelov/nana hill or just to have the entire hill with moss?

Hoping to get more creative feedback and input.

    Once again thanks

You have such a healthy looking tank and is just 3 month old, IMHO tearing it down to do major rescape would it be a bit too painful ?
Or may be to start a new second tank (may be a smaller one) so to let your creativity flow and to experiment ?

BTW I have a 2.5 ft rescape just get in shape, (see my post here : http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...ad.php?t=19790 )

But at the same time wanting to try out something else, hence this other Nano experiement :

So the experiment on the smaller tank keep my mind off and give the larger tank some peace and tranquillity....

    Thanks dc88,

Yeah, putting the re-scape at a hold first. Probably let things grow in further and then will decide how. Anyways, might consider a nano tank for my room first Easier to re-scape
