The trouble with glosso is when grown like a carpet is impossible to remove them. Everything will come loose if try to remove some strands.

How do you guys maintain your Glosso lawns? Do you trim like grass? Or pull out strands to thin the lawn out? Or more drastically, yank up the entire lawn and replant?
Mine grew thick.. trimming was a chore. For now I've decided on periodic removal of the entire lawn and replanting plantlets to restart.
I pulled up my old lawn, and a lot of crap came out.. and I had a staghorn infestation. So I wanted to prevent this sort of thing happening.. this happened even when I vacummed the lawn as well as I can every weekly water change.

Exactly, that's why I wonder how Amano does it too. There's the possibility of cutting off individual leaves... but that's crazy.
Guys! Share experience!
I am quite lazy, I cut them like cutting hairgrass. After a week or two, they will grow back. Getting the lawn out and replanting may be more of a chore for me.

But won't there be a mass of rotting leaves and stems? Mine was this case..

what i did last time was really to pull up and replant. Trimming it like HG will cause some parts to turn yellow. Now i m trying APP instead, not sure if this will be worse, but in any case, good topic, all ears to know of a good method to maintain
