    either nijsenni or panduro

    A. nijsenni

    A. sp. panduro

sorry dunno the diff, perharps benny can enlighten us since he is into them...

the diff btw nijsenni and panduro is that On male A.
nijsseni the front dorsal spines appear flattened or truncated, as on A. agassizii.A. panduro has a broad suborbital (cheek) stripe while A. nijsseni has a mostly black gill cover. The caudal spot on A. panduro is more
elongate (triangular) and extends well into the caudal fin.

from yr pic, shld be the panduro..but i can be wrong

i think it's Apistogramma panduro. it has that powder blue coloration and the big blotch on the body doesn't seem to appear on Nijsenni males. i could be wrong but i think it's panduro.

yup Simon, panduro males have the caudal blotch but it appears on occasion. sometimes it doesn't appear on some specimens. but according to the people on the apisto mailing list, the blotch appears only when the fish has fully settled in.
