Done a minor rescape, chosen spiky moss for the foreground. laid them on wire mesh and covered another layer of elastic plastic mesh on top. close to a week now, observed new shoots started to grow.
question: are spiky moss quick growners?

my current scape, almost 70% be moss!
question: is it advisable to reduce the amount of dosage(liquid fert) and the frequency of dosage(i assume moss are not nutrient hungry)?

    tank specs: 4ft,
    4*36w(9 hrs),
    pressurized co2(1bps), ph 6.8

My spiky moss doubled in volume in about 2 months... and I don't even dose... Now I am going CO2, I think I can either do a Spiky tank or sell those moss!

will ruled out taiwan moss, as their growth are pretty fast.
Look no further. I feel that spiky moss is the fastest growing moss. They are also not so demanding.

This is my 2.5ft tank, no special attention and within one month, they gave a nice lawn effect. Hope this is what you are looking for:-

zenscape, thanks for sharing your setup, very nice! Hope to see my ideal lawn soon.

been to Y618, was inspired by his setup placed at counter, a small tank with full grown spiky moss lawn, housing his crs to sell. no co2, fan blowing, hangon filter, though simple setup, but looks great!
