Hmm... I don't know what is happening, but my One-Eye is not eating on its own for the past few weeks... I actually had to place the food next to its one eye before it will eat... And it gets very 'scardy cat' when fed this way...

It used to understand that meal worms in the glass means food but for the past few weeks, it just sits there looking at the glass or sit inside the glass on the worms and suffocate them...

Anyone knows what is happening? One Eye is getting thin...

I think so... Because when I 'wriggle' the food at its eye, it knows the food is there... Then it WILL bite on it and eats it... But it will not bother those wandering free...

I am scared that its eye is failing...

Ken, I have enough problems keeping mealworms in the house...

Lam, yes, it eats when I switch off the room lights... One-Eye is either a reed frog or a yellow-bellied frog. Anyway, it is a common frog that can be found sometimes among the baby bull frogs in the feeder bags...

Anyway, I found 3 worms missing in its feeding glass... I certainly hope it actually ate them instead of kicking them out of the glass it sometimes does...

Well... how old is oneye? I'd imagine everything has to go sometime no? As for his appetite.. vary his diet a little. He can't get much nutrition from just mealworms can he?

I think I had One-Eye for less than a year...

I feed the mealworms good food... Tetra Reptomin, some fish food, Hikari algae wafer, carrots, orange peel, peas etc... to pack them with nutrition...

Could it be the hot weather that is stressing the frog?

    It's anthropomorphize.

It means ascribing human characteristics to the frog.
