    What I do is:

Before the buyer arrives, I net the fishes and put them in a plastic bag I saved from fish purchases from LFSes. Tie up with rubberband like LFSes do, put in plastic bag and give to buyer.

If you do not have such bags, you should request the buyer to bring along some.

I will save those LFS bags as well and keep the Sera (rounded bottom edges) for more expensive sells to fellow AQ-ers.

but, to put fishes in the plastic bags, you have to take note of the sizes and quantity of the fishes.
bigger size fish need more space, and more oxygen, thus they cant last long in the bags u packed, the most 1 hour is max.
but smaller fishes like tetras can last longer, prox about 3 hrs max.

but do take note that make sure u uses the water from your original tank, to prevent shock caused to the fish.

I sometimes use plastic containers for smaller fish, the kind they used to pack food. It works too, just don't fill the water all the way to the top!

Or, just ask the buyer to bring his/her own container/bag...

    I'm crypt collecting... Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted! ), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted! ), C.tonkinensis(Melted! ), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii

Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...

I remember one guy who took some relatively big fishes from me.... My tin foil barbs...There were 5 fishes, each 2.5+ inch in length

I put in plastic bag for him, and I was happy(and shocked) when he put in his back bag, leave the bag open, install a battery operated air pump, and there he went.... I guess this way the fishes could last one long journey... (from NUS to bedok via bus I remember well)

You may be able to find one of those bags in plastic wholesalers, perhaps like the SKP branches.

FLORENCE, capital of the region of Tuscany, has a population of around half a million inhabitants, spreads on the banks of the Arno, between the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian seas, almost in the middle of the Italian peninsula. It is a city which bustles with industry and craft, commerce and culture, art and science.

If you can find the largest bag, that's good, else general rule-of-thumb are:
    - use long or tall bag so that more air is available to the fish
    - size of bag should be 2X or more than fish length
    - use as little water and leave the rest for air
    - head straight home immediately

I once used Oceanfree general aid to add into the water. It is cheap, $1.20 a bottle, easily available and you only need a drop. The good thing about it helps to keep the fish less startled and reduce the risk of getting sick. I also use it to quarantine my new fishes with it.
