At Teo's, they have large rummy nose with Altum, but the tank is a 6 feet or a 9 feet if I'm not wrong, with about 10 altum, and 30 rummy nose. With pleco and heavily planted.

Mine is not heavily planted....there's a big open space in e the centre of e tank.

    I bought 10 rummy nose...but after a few weeks only 8 remains.
Thinking of getting a few more but i fear losing them again

I think that redline topedos will dash ard e the tank n and might cos cause disturbance to other fish.

Bleeding heart...will consider getting a few

    Hello,
I think apistos can be kept with altums right? the combination should be quite nice. if not, cardinals would be good when the altums are still young.

can I ask where you got your altums?
    thanks

Get some of the larger tetras if you can and grow them up with the altums. I started out with 24 rummy noses about a year ago and am now down to 6. I've also lost 3 female yellow tail congos which were straying from the pack.

    My tank setup consits of:
    1) A pair of Altums,
    2) 6 Ballon Rams,
    3) 8 Rummy Nose,
    4) 2 Apistos (unknown breed)
    5) 8+- Yamatos,
    6) 10+- otos,
    7) 6 Rockets,
    30+- Cardinals n Harq (Used to be 150pcs )
    9) 1 L27 Royal Plecos,
    10) 9 Serbai Cories,
    should be all.....

I got them from the net when they are both around 5in in height , now the male is 10+in in height, the female is smaller about 8+in in height.

Thinking of getting a couple more but they will cost alot if i'm getting those of this size

Ya, thats why its quite difficult to find tankmates for them....my mum keep on nagging that the tank looks plain, without any color.

Got 100 Cardinals n and 50 Harq Harlequins...which was a mistake now i'm left with less then 40 of them...all either landed in their tummy or was killed.
