I ever tried asking EastOcean aka Keong Song, but they do not carry ADA Lights and Tanks!
Maybe can try ADA Thailand?
Just wondering if anyone owns ADA tanks in sg.
Interested to get the Cube garden 60 but not sure what is the best way to get it?
- emailed EastOcean, not sure if they carry this tank and how long it takes to order?? Still waiting for their reply
- is it possible to mail order from Japan? Anyone tried that?
- ADA usa does mail order but kind of stupid to mailorder all the way from states
any other means of getting one?

Go Japan and buy it and hand carry back.

Hong Kong do not have any ADA tank?
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.

There are couple of LFS selling ADA tanks in HK [Tung Choi street], I will have a look tomorrow and ask in my marginal cantonese... the tanks that I have seen are 2 x1ft or 1ft tanks. The small tanks have glass that is so thin that it almost looks delicate.Originally Posted by BFG
Will post my findings or lack of them tomorrow

It is one of the larger shops in Tong Choi Street with a very prominent Tropica tank that can be seen from the entrance as shown in the picture.

They have two 2 x 1 foot display tanks by the check-out. I remember one of them is the kind that is a single cast, ie does not have silicon joints/joins and is made of single piece of glass, with glass Lillie pipes, interestingly on this tank they are using stainless steel piping from the ADA canister filter to the tank.
More importantly this shop has the best selection of ADA equipment such as ADA canister filters, ADA rocks, piping stuff, media, heaps of glassware, ADA wood CO2 system etc etc. Then there are the Tropica plant selection …
You make me missed that Street. Feels like going there again.Overall, dun really like HK's over crowded streets, but Tong Choi Street is one of my favourite streets in the world. So far.
One thing I noticed, seems the moss trend had not been caught on in HK yet.
Or was the trend over already?Originally Posted by cairocks

According to my HK friend, not really. He was so amazed by the range of mosses when I brought him to Bioplast when he visited a month ago.Originally Posted by evolim83

Tung Choi Street may have hardware/equipment, but Singapore has wood, rocks and plants, and lots of them at great prices, then there is the planted tank community in SG with expertise that is without par.
Ok the amphibians, turtles, reptiles, huge spiders in HK is extensive, but I always wonder how many environments are plundered to their detriment to satisfy this market…
The moss trend is hard for me to understand as local Cantonese names are used for everything and then it is not unusual to pay $SG50- $SG100 for something a bit unusual, but I think Singapore has the best moss selections available anywhere
i'm certainly amazed at the price of the people paying for mosses in Hong Kong![]()
Seems a case of give and take. We have less but more expensive equipment choices while they have less but more expensive plant and fish choices.Originally Posted by kemp
Have just returned from Aqua World... they had 10 ADA display tanks, 3 were 2 x 1 ft. the rest were mostly 1ft cubes, each tank has complete ADA CO2 & piping. I am sure they would not mind me posting the price the 60 x 60 x 60 ADA tank, which was $HK4380 and was in stock.
Thanks for the update.![]()
Hi rupert
thanks for the update. you happen to notice how much was the 2ft x 1ft cube garden at aqua world?
For those interested in getting ADA Lightings ... Called Keong Seong the other day and they say that do carry ADA lightings
Checked out ADA thailand website, they also dont seems to carry tanks
Checked out ADA korean, they do have tanks on their site but got no idea what the site was saying
Checked out ADA USA , they do carry tanks and process mail order ... USD$150 for the Cube Garden 60-H

Looks like getting the tank from HK seems like the most viable option if one is really keen on getting a ADA tank in SG
Any other lobang for transporting a tank from HK to SG besides buying a round trip air ticket![]()
