    Hi All,

Is 3500l/h flowrate outlet too strong for Co2 external reactor that connected to an co2 cyclinder.

As my outlet water got to travel all the way to 2.5ft height tank and by then the flowrate will be calcuate estimate 2500l/h due to some head lost speed...

I am using a 3500L/H eheim 1262 on my carnister (2262). It will pump thru a 1M long PVC pipe DIY CO2 reactor with bioballs, then goes thru chiller and back to the tank and splits into 2 outlets.

With this setup, I don't see any CO2 bubble come out from the outlet. I still use CO2 misting method by having 2 powerhead to create CO2 mist inside the tank also.

The weakest I found is the CO2 connector which I was simply use silicon to hold it. Simple yank may come loose. So I put a lot of the silicon and cable tie the CO2 hose not to shake it too much.

Previously I used a 1262 pump and the 2028 filter was unable to handle and leaked. 3500L/Hr is way too strong for most equipments to handle, unless it is purely for the chiller.

You may connect them to try out but must be around to observe. Be ready to switch the pump off immediately if there is any leakage.
