    You can put them in canister. When reach the desired PH, you can remove it from canister.

    I place coral chip in the filter too.
    Corydoras: 2 x adolfoi, 1 x agassizii, 5 x albino aeneus, 3 x arcuatus, 4 x atropersonatus, 3 x axelrodi, 6 x axelrodi variante B, 4 x caudimaculatus, 5 x duplicareus, 8 x goldlines, 3 x kanei, 3 x loretoensis, 6 x melini, 4 x panda, 6 x schwartzi, 3 x similis, 4 x sterbai, 4 x surinamensis, 5 x trilineatus, 4 x tukano & 3 x zygatus

    RIP 1 x adolfoi, 1 x albino aeneus & 2 x panda

    after nearly of 2 weeks of water change, just added a cherry into the tank to test the water last night. Hopefully it's still swimming around when i'm back home tonight again. Will update again

    Another update. Came back home, found my cherry still alive. It's redish in colour! Finally, my tank's ready for shrimps. Happy! I've not added any coral chips yet.

    think can leave out the coral chips, monitor the ph level and do water change as usual. let your moss grow and mature, by then your tank able to welcome any shrimps.

    Have added 8 more cherries into my tank last night, saw them alive and kicking this morning, with the redness still with them. Will continue to monitor the situation, will carry on my water changing regime to maybe once a week

    I am using ADA soil in my 1.5 feet tank.. so far no problem. I introduced my crs and tiger shrimp after a week of cycling. It has been a month now and the ph is still at 6. There are some ammonia but I guess it should be fine if its acidic water (read this somewhere). so far so good
