Aquastar at Yishun sells it. They also sell it for a bit more than one of the fish farms in Pasir Ris(OTF, I think).

Metallic check valve? May I ask what difference does it have from normal ones we get?
Studying the water chemistry and nutrients is a science.
Knowing what plants to get and how to use them is an art.
Aquascaping is a marriage of art and science, the logical and emotional.

Don't know of any difference, but it sure looks nicer than the plastic ones. You can see it in this link...

My brother recently having problem with his CO2, discovered was empty though had it refill 2 months back! Suspect could be a leakage somewhere, so brought the tank to LFS seek help from the owner. Was told could be due to faulty check valve, having leakage.

recommended by the owner there's a metallic check valve, seen it on one of his CO2 tank. Too bad he is not selling any of those.

Brianclaw, Thanks! will make a trip to aquastar..

I used to buy it from PetMart. Around $7 for 2 pieces. Not very expensive. And I like the quality because the $1 plastic ones can break when I try too hard to disconnect the airline.

Check your valve properly... I always thought that the arrow would be pointing in the direction of CO2 flow, but I was wrong for my metal check valve. The arrow points to my CO2 canister. The other way around and the CO2 line kept popping off the valve.

That's quite common on the regular check valves!
The stickers are there for the sake of being there!
I always practise CPR on the valves to check the direction of flow!

Done a CPR before setting up too, and the CO2 flow is what the arrow point.

    Opps!
Another reason not to post prices here!
Its heart-breaking for us to find out the truth sometimes!

But 3 times the difference is ridiculous!
Considering that Rainbow is already, IMO is one of the higher-priced LFS in Serangoon!
But then again, kemp, maybe yours is of better quality?

Well... Not meant to break the fragile heart of those who bought at 3X... But to share the deal wif those interested... IMO its not worth to pay 3X for this small gadget...

Every LFS has their fair share of prices and quality... U never know when u'll get the best deal..

It stinks to hear how much you've over paid for any particular item, but I still think it's better to at least know where you can get the same item for cheaper. At least now I know that I was over charged at Aquastar and that I can get it for a lot cheaper at Serangoon.
I wish Nature Aquarium sold this... Only reason being that it's near my house. :P

Precisely, now i really understand why the stock have a sticker of year 2004 year on it. I guess it was really over priced till no one bother to buy from them, only for me being the few 'gun-dus' to buy from them.
