Camera trick...i made it look otherwise
Ok...my photography skills not up to standard. Certain lightings and camera settings would made the redness stand out. I do not know how to do so yet. Actual colouring of the male's finnage is blood red in colour.

I feed the fries bbs once a week and stuff them with more bbs during the weekend. 4 to 5 bbs meal a day during sat and sun. They are very choosy with food. Except bbs, no other food goes into their stomach.

    Hi genes,
Excellent fries body shape.. and that's signs of good brood care.
Colour-wise, could you share with us, in a couple of months, how the male fries has turned out?
It's NOT "Chee lick", NOT "Chee Chee Licks"!!! Cichlids is pronounced as "Sick Lids"!!!!!

Will update again when the colouring intensify. There are a couple of male in the tank. At the background of Pic3, you can see another male. Its very difficult to take decent pictures of the males. Unlike the females that always pose for the camera, the males are extremely skirttish

Your A. cacatuoides are lovely. Care to share some information on the tank parameters like type of substrate, tank size etc?

I've lost count of my fries. Everytime the female spawns, i remove the fries and place them into a fry only tank. There are currently 30 over fries in the tank.

Never measured the water parameters for sometime. The last time i measured PH, it lingers between 5 to 6. The fries are kept in 1ft cube with aquasoil while the adults are in a 3 footer community tank also with aquasoil.
