The last time I changed 20% of water was 2 wks ago. Just now in the afternoon, I made another changes of 20%. I'm thinking of changing 20% of water every 2 to 3 days till the nitrate level goes down to at least 20 ppm.

right now.. do change the water.. but no more than 50%.. if u want.. u can do your method for the time being of approximately one week.. then, instead of changing 20% every 2-3 days.. try slightly more.. like 5 days.. if not, b4 the water mature.. u need to change again.. do something like that for 1 months and see the results...
By the way, the inhabitant in my tank are rather small. I'm thinking to increase the bio load by adding one golden maroon clown, one royal gamma and lastly one more blue tang.
i dun recommend adding more to a 2ft tank.. your nitrate level will go ballistic..better wait till u get a bigger tank.. coz blue tang can become very big.. btw, u talking abt hippo tang or blue tang itself?? coz the blue tang is similar in shape to yellow tang.. and is very beautiful..
