    hmm,

DIY Co2. I once did that in Singapore. Very troublesome. And you know how smelly the yeast can be after one week.

Also, now supposedly my plants are adapting from Co2 environment to Non co2 environment. Any special note I should take during that period?

Fei Miao : There is a good water circulation inside the tank. I think the main reason the ferns did not do well was (1) new tank syndrome, they got infected by brown algae, covered on their leaves a bit, and with no algae eater at all, thier growth suffered., (2) brown algae caused by brightness of lights coming from outside the tank lights.

Other that that , I could not not find anything else that will prevent my ferns from growing. (maybe i have yet to test the water in Mauritius - hehe - i age them for 1 week).

I think from today onwards, with the pleco working hard, the tank should pick up slightly. And this weekend, I am likely to buy some fishes. Hope I can get rasboras. I saw Rasboras Hengi i think. Body shape quite a bit different from harlequin, but it did not like the form. look like defective (reject) type of harlequin rasboras. Anyway, maybe I was wrong on the shop, maybe this is how rasboras hengi(or engi - forgot already) look like, but when they sell for s$7 for 4, I did not want to buy. I will keep looking. I have just a bit less than 2 weeks left.

WIll try to take photo of LFS.

Hmm, brown algae is not caused by excessive tank lights, but rather inadequacy of the tank lights rite??
