You can get these 2 values in specification sheet of a TEM.

I was there at Colorful today, saw the display unit of the DIY chiller, the workmanship is good, and there is a demo tank chilling to about 26C.

Just discovered a new mini/nano chiller. See http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...ad.php?t=23760.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

    Hi all.

Below is an almost DIY chiller done by me. Those interested can take a look. cheers

It runs on a 12v 4.5A dc supply. You may use a pc psu to puwer the unit.
It does not have any connectors only wires.
It does not comes with any themperature regulator and therefore it cannot regulate the temperature to your desired level. I on it 24/7 for my tank and kept it at a constant temp of 22-24.
it does not comes with a holder and u may have to be creative on how to place it on ur tank. for my case i did it the below method.

Dzylim, that's a CoolWork's IceProbe. It is already pre-assembled on purchase, just that you need to find something to mount it to. Not exactly a diy in my humble opinion.

    Hope this helps.

You are right. its not exactly DIY till i did some mod to it as below.

i am using it to cool a 2 feet tank with the above setup. Am using a dolphin 300 hang on filter reason being the probe is not long enough to reach the water.

it is turned on 24/7 and is able to cool my tank to a constant temperature of 24 degree with help of a fan.

    power consumption is 50 watt.

over all I find it much cheaper then alot of other chiller and less hassle then a fully DIY TEM chiller.

I paid $150 for the unit. Got it from USA. Anyone interested in a spare unit?
