like the wild looks, would rather leaving it untouch, perhaps just a bit of touch-up and maintenance. Care to share what's the plants' list?
After 2 months, moss is getting thicker and begins to fill up the tank. This tank is now appearing very cramped and a rescaping is long overdue.![]()
As i do not intend to do major changes, any suggestion what to take out from the tank?

When will there be 25 letters in the alphabets?
lots of moss there, it will be unkempt if not enough trimming is done. Nice scape nonetheless.
Cheers,
Andrew
i wouldn't know how to tell you what to take out cos it seems like everything is connnected.. if i say take this twig out it may turn out is a big fat stick...and then that changes everything.
ranmasatome, that is exactly how i feel. Initially i created a small path leading in just before the cryptocoryne. However, moss grew in and took over.
richietay, most of the plants are moss.
Erect moss is attached to the long mid level bogwood.
The big ball on the left side of the bogwood is the can't-make-it-weeping-moss (erect wannabe):-
The ground level moss are mostly spikey moss with a bit of fissidens and mini pellia here and there
The rear of the tank is occupied with fast growing plants - ludwigia inclinata, eusteralis stella, rotala sp. "green"
The small batch of greenery on the right of foreground is japan hair grass.
Also, there are cryptocoryne wendtii "brown" and narrow java fern.

If this tank is CO2 enriched then go slow with non-CO2 approach, lower lighting wattage and less maintainace. But some of the smaller foreground plants might suffer thought.
Your scape is a heaven for shrimps to live.
wow! no wonder your moss are so healthy. you intend to keep CRS in it?

But i was pleased to discover a few shrimplets last night, which means they are doing fine and breeding in this tank.

hey! when you have a swarm of CRS, you'll certainly see them all around. I'm sure your tank is a great place for keeping CRS. i seriously feel that you should.Originally Posted by zenscape

stmoo, thanks and i agree with richie. 27 c is fine. Recommend you to try spiky moss. They are tough, fast growing and not so demanding on temperatureOriginally Posted by stmoo
I have a smaller 2.5 ft tank with just fan and they are doing well there.

hi ya, great looking tank. .... care to depart with some of ya mosses. I m just startin mine (after giving it up 3 mths ago ;P)
a swarm wouldn't cost you that. Because with your tank, i'm pretty sure you can get them breeding. Just get a few, your tank certainly ideal for CRS breeding

Superchevy, moss are slow growers. It may have grown but you don't realise it. Are the tips of your moss in bright green colour? This is one of the indications that they are fine and growing.Originally Posted by superchevy
Or are the moss turning brown?
Perhaps you let us know what's the light intensity, photoperiod, and whether it is a CO2 enriched tank? The temperature of 25c is fine.
Take a picture of your tank and let us see what's your moss condition.
