I believe the filter comes with priming aid, no?
If not, you can manually prime the filter by pumping water through the inlet until the the filter is fully filled then switch on the filter!

I need help with a manual for my Atman filter. I bought it new and no manual with it and none available. I have trouble getting the water to start up each time after cleaning. And do not like the idea of having to suck the water thru with my mouth like the shop owner told me to do. Thanks Gary.

As long as there water in both the inlet tube and the pump impeller compartment, water will flow when switch on.
