    Hi blueblue,

This pair indeed has potential to go even nicer in the future. Correct me if I am wrong, the full colouration of the pair has yet to appear right.

cannot disagree about the German bred fishes, they are STUNNING !!!!

however i cannot help noticing that most of these beauties have split and rather short ventral fins. could this be "too much" inbreeding ?

Very good observations and critiques, Mervin
In fact, i have been buying german eliza for several years (once they first appeared in the market a few years ago, i already acquired some). For the ones i purchased recently (including these two pairs and the ones i bought in 2005), the body proportion is not so good and the dorsal fins, ventral fins, and even the caudal fins are also less extended. I do not know why. It could be a problem from inbreeding or the speed of raising the fry, i think...

    haha... Thanks, celticfish

By the way, what does it mean by aphrodisac?
(As my usual practice, the water is treated with
peat moss and dried oak leaves; i have also added
some Sera's Black Water into the tank.

    Hi Blue Blue,

Amazing fish you've got there. Just wondering if you're selling the fries?

    Cheers,

    ruisheng,
blueblue is based in HK. You'll most probably have to fly there to get the fish back. Hope you will help a few of us get also....
