yours is a ballast(metal ballast with fuse) or electronic ballast? what actually happen, fused for no reasons or encounter short circuit recently?
Hi, any bro expert in aquarium lighting can give me some advice on troubleshooting of light set?
1) How to verify the ballast / e-ballast is not working (beside swapping with a confirm working set) by measuring it output voltage? (i.e. is the output voltage of the ballast in AC / DC? Can we measure its output voltage level without any load using a voltmeter? How?)
2) Is there any wiring diagram for PL and FL lighting that can reference?

Actually I got this rainbow T5 NO 4 tube light, 2 tubes in the middle cannot light up.Originally Posted by richietay
I have checked and confirmed that the middle 2 tubes are working fine. It has 2 e-ballasts (think so, cause it is not the normal metal ballast that require starter) and each ballast is used to power up 2 tubes (left side 2 and right side 2). Theoretically speaking if any of the ballast spoilt, the 2 tubes on either the right or left side will not light up and shouldn’t be the 2 tubes in the middle.
Any idea what went wrong?
