I asked my Taiwanese ex colleague to source for plants in Taipei and she gave me a long list in Chinese. After searching the pics and names (not sure whether correct or not), I have shortlisted it based on what I like. Otherwise I wont have enough tanks to accommodate all.

Eriocaulon setaceum
Hydrocotyle verticillata
Eriocaulon sp from Australia Type II
Eriocaulon sp from Australia Type I
Eriocaulon cinereum
Eriocaulon sp Mato Grosso
Eriocaulon sp from Guang Zhuo
Eriocaulon sp. from VIETNAM
Eriocaulon* sexangulare* L.
Echinodorus sp.
Eriocaulon (mini TACO)
Aldrovanda vesiculosa from Australia
Utricularia foliosa
Eriocaulon nantoense Hayata
Tonina fluviatilis from Sao Paulo

So which of them are easily obtainable locally so that I dont have to get from there? I may delete a few more from the order based on your comments.

You do realised that you might recieve a ton of requests to tumpang?

I guess a lot of the Eriocaulons will be quite expensive here... Maybe you can get some pics and base purely on price and whether you like them? Oh, this is giving me a good idea of what I can buy during my trip there...

Don't worry.. send me a PM and I can definitely 'help' if you have this problem.

On the serious note, some of these plants can be obtained locally from sources such as greenchapter. Nonetheless, you obviously need to know how much it cost in Taiwan for you to make a comparison, right? Who knows some of us may hitch the order with you if the price is right.. hehe..

Tumpang a few plants can but not too much as I am not a seller. I will limit to a small DHL box this shipment. Somemore I am getting a favour from a petite lady ex colleague. I cant get her to carry the big box around when she is shopping for it. Not confirmed yet. Now just found the sellers. Hasn't even got the price confirmed.

And seems like Eriocaulon spp. are very popular in Taiwan...

And this is a plant native to Taiwan:

More and more interesting... Keep us updated on your choice and subsequent keeping of them...

I think it's cheaper than the price I am quoted... If it's really the same, I will get it from Fu Wo instead

Gu Jing cao was at one stage very expensive... The ao zhou (australia) da gu jing (Erioculon) was like 4x bucks at one stage... A slow grower apparently... Now I don't know wh'at the price already...

But 10 bucks seems abit cheap...Maybe a different species...
