Spotted a tiny platy in my tank. Before I can do anything. One of my angle fish just snapped it up. 30 minutes later, found 2 more fries in side a hole. couldn't get them out...Then my puffer found them and just grabbed one. The other one swam out and hid among the moss. Spotted one again just now with an angle stalking and approaching to make the kill. Able to fend off the angle in time but not in time before it can grab my net. The fry disappeared among the moss again. Don't think there is any chance of rescuing any. So don't see is better than to see.

If you have predatory fishes in the tank, you can't do much about free swimming fries.
It's part & parcel of nature itself.
By the way, I don't quite understand this part.
Your angle (?) fish grabbed your net? How? With its pectorals?Able to fend off the angle (angle fish or angelfish?) in time but not in time before it can grab my net.

Well, I saw the anglefish going in for the kill, I just stick my finger right into the water in between it and the fry and the anglefish made an U turn. The 'it' is a typo, it should be "I". Opps :P BTW, just rescued the only fry seen and transfered it into my endlers tank. Think that's so much I can do.

That's life... I suffered the same feeling when I saw my female endler stalk a shrimplet and then swollowed it!... Now, with my over whelming Endler population, I am thinking of adding the Endlers to my 4ft and then add discus to control their population...I wonder if I have the heart...

Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...
I wanted to add a betta into my friend's pond filled with feeder platys and goldfishes. His platys population was growing out of proportion to the pond size, but he felt it was more humane to let them overpopulate and let them die a megadeath. Go figure.

should did that. this is what happen in stream and river..I am thinking of adding the Endlers to my 4ft and then add discus to control their population...
it just that we dont see it in our tank..

Also I like to add, we have heard of arrowanas in a planted tank filled with tetras, so...
when man decides to intervene that's when "problems" start!
oh, i suggest using a siphon hose if you really want to save the small buggers.
its easier to zap them.

Just spotted the fry that I rescued into the endler's tank swimming around among the java fern. But 1 endler's fry is now missing. Don't know it is a joyful thing or a sad thing.
