Hey, I have the same crypt. I bought mine from bangkok. It came with much wider and shorter leaves....but grew out just like yours. I'm guessing its a crispatula group too.

after +-6 months, the plant looks like this.
underwater inflorescence
It's very different from my balansae which can grow more than 100cm long. This plant is only about 20 - 30 cm.

Whoa... I'm quite envious of whatever supply you can get from Bandung... and most can survive inside your "magical pond and its waste ground"![]()
Lovely plant. Is it indigenious to Indonesia or Thailand?

Interesting. This species seems to have a slighly broader leave structure than the usual Cryptocoryne crispatula.
Thanks for sharing the picture of the inflorescence. Not something we get to see all the time.
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
Someone from APC told me that this plant is C. balanciaga, a hybrid form of balansae that might being cultivated at Oriental Aquarium.
it doesn't grow like original balansae, here's the pic of original balansae (120cm)Originally Posted by HeyPK

I bought one of this plant form LFS in Bandung (Laksana Aquarium Karapitan) Indonesia. They only had 2 of this plant at that time and sold out after I post the picture in local aquascape forum. Has anyone seen this plant in Singapore?

Hmmm, a nice hybrid if that's the case. Especially if you like balansae but did not have tall tank.
